The featured bathroom, designed by Russell Henderson of Smarter Bathrooms, boasts various features that set it apart from standard ensuites. Smarter Bathrooms installed a freestanding bath, twin showers, twin vanity bowls and partially obscured doors to the shower area to ensure ease of use and privacy when two people are using the room.

The vaulted ceiling, bay window and linear shape of the room, together with the detail in the fittings and finishes, provide a further point of differerentation from other bathrooms.

Smarter Bathrooms’ clients sought functionality as well as a space that was luxurious and ideal for unwinding. Paying special attention to lighting, Smarter Bathrooms installed recessed subway lights that lead into the shower recess at just below knee level, as well as uplights, to create beautiful illumination in the spacious ensuite.

By dividing the space into zones, Smarter Bathrooms ensured functionality and privacy were achieved, as well as allowing ample space at the shower and vanity areas. The ensuite is adjacent to the client’s robe area, also allowing plenty of space to dress.

There is ample storage space and a greywater system that distributes bath and shower water to the garden. All the tapware and sanitary appliances installed in the ensuite are WELS rated to comply with Australian standards and regulation.

The room is warmed by a Nobo panel heater. The custom-made vanity and cabinets feature vinyl-wrapped panels in Bosari Gold, and handles are from Kethy.

A range of tiles was used throughout the ensuite, which also has partially etched, frameless showerscreen panels and Hydrotherm heated towel rails.
